Santino Macaggi

Biography

Santino is a senior in mechanical engineering and part of the GEARE program. From Spring to August 2024, he worked at GE Appliances, a Haier Company, in Louisville, KY. He worked in both Material Cost Take Out (MCTO) and New Product Innovation (NPI) in the dishwasher and laundry team, respectively.

In Summer 2025, Santino interned at Spectrum Plastics Group, a DuPont Business in Sandy, UT as a Rapid Prototype Engineer, where he worked in additive manufacturing within the medical device and catheter sectors.

Santino joined the OPP staff in the spring of 2026 as a teaching assistant for the GEARE program. He is very passionate about helping undergraduate and graduate Purdue students find professional opportunities and achieve their career goals. In his free time, he loves to play and watch soccer, travel to different states and countries, and hangout with his close friends and family.
